Midfielder Alex MacDonald and forward Aaron Doran will return to Burnley and Blackburn
Inverness today confirmed ten players will be released at the end of the season as they look to rebuild for next season.
Four of the players being released are stalwarts of the side who won promotion to the top flight for the first time in the club’s short history. They are Defenders Grant Munro and Stuart Golabek, and midfielder’s Russell Duncan and Roy McBain.
This is a group of players who have over 1300 appearances for the club over their 44 years of service for the club. There is still one link to this squad with Ross Tokeley being awarded a one year deal.
The other six on their way out are third-choice goalkeeper Max Johnson, defenders Chris Hogg and Chris Innes, midfielder Gil Blumenshtein and strikers Dani Sanchez and Eric Odihambo.
Also heading out are two loan players who are returning to their former clubs, midfielder Alex MacDonald and forward Aaron Doran will return to Burnley and Blackburn respectively.
It will be interesting to see if this is a result of budget cuts in the highlands or will they re-tool with more quality but a slightly smaller squad?
