Is everything okay at Celtic Park

As Celtic prepare for a couple of big games against Rennes and Motherwell they put on a united front at training today.

At their press call ahead of the Europa League tie withRennesatCelticParktomorrow,KrisCommonsturned up in a neck brace and his head in a bandage trying to play down any rift with manager Neil Lennon.

This was, according to Lennon, Celtic “laughing at all the speculation and rumour” that has been appearing in the press of late. They don’t help themselves with this given Commons seemed to disappear without trace thus fuelling the speculation.

I am note sure the Celtic support will see it this way as they prepare for two games that Johann Mjallby believes could seal the future of Lennon and his background team

If the were to lost toRennesand Motherwell in the space of four days it would be hard to see how they will be able to keep their jobs. This appears to be the belief of the Celtic support in football phone ins these days.

This is a complete reversal from the end of last season when they would defend anything he did, how quickly the worm turns!

From a Scottish football perspective it would be good if Celtic could defeatRennestomorrow. They did give them a scare a couple of weeks ago and could’ve, or should’ve won that one.

There is no doubt things will be interesting in the days ahead for the followers of the hoops.
