Mandaric has no interest in Rangers

Despite stories in the media Sheff Wed Chairman Milan Mandaric has denied any interest in buying Rangers.
The Scottish media have reacted to the news from the administrators there had been expressions of interest from a number of parties in buying Rangers and linked Mandaric with buying the club.
Mandaric has come out today and expressed his shock at the link, and confirmed he has no interest in buying Rangers.
It is always interesting when a club goes into administration that one of the first things the administrator tells people is expressions of interest. Back in 2002 when it happened to Motherwell they had four almost immediately but none of them ever came to fruition.
It would hardly be a surprise if there were no expressions of interest as potential purchasers will be hoping to pick up a “great Scottish Institution” for a song.
The other side of this is they will be waiting to see how the debts will be written off, and what assets are left when the dust has settled. In Rangers case we also have to wait and see what the impact of the “Big Tax Case” will be.
There is also the question of the missing £24million, will anybody truly be interested in taking the club n while this is the case.
More interesting times ahead at Ibrox in the next week…..
