SPL give Rangers a financial "grace period"

The SPL today granted Rangers additional time to submit completed financial accounts after missing the original deadline.

The SPL have, at Rangers request, extended the date required for the club to submit their accounts to June 15^th. This is meant to give the Ibrox club the chance to exit administration through a CVA.

This may sound fair but it sounds to me at a desperate attempt not to punish Rangers again while at the same time bending over backwards to keep them in the SPL.

There were reports in the papers this morning the administrators would propose a CVA today, which would then have a two week grace period. This would take us to 13^th June, by which time we have constantly been told would see them run out of money.

W have constantly been told that the money would run out by the end of June, this is now only four days away. This also coincides with the players wages rise back to their original value!

Potential new owner Charles Green has been quiet in recent times, despite saying the past he would cover the costs in June to allow the CVA to be pushed through. Will he be prepared to do so, or will there have to be a fire sale of players on 1^st June, or a large tranche of redundancies.

Time for the end game in this whole sorry saga and put everybody out of their misery.
