More trouble for Rangers

There is more trouble ahead for Rangers when the SPL board decided today they have a case to answer on dual contracts.

The SPL board considered two items this afternoon; the Rangers EBT investigation and also the registration transfer of Rangers SPL Share.

On the first they have decided there is a prima facie case to answer in respect of its Rules. They also stated any delay was down to the lack of co-operation from Rangers FC.

Disciplinary charges will be brought when the future status of Rangers FC is clarified and prior to the start of season 2012/13.

They then considered an application for registration of transfer of Rangers’ SPL share, but consideration of the application will depend on receipt by the SPL Board of all required documentation and verification.

A general meeting of all 12 member clubs has been convened for 10am on Wednesday 4 July 2012 for members to decide whether to approve the transfer.

This all means we must be getting close to an end to the whole saga and conclude who club 12 will be in the SPL fixtures next season.

My only worry is what organisation will they punish, will it be THE Rangers FC or the one left behind in control of BDO the liquidators. There will be legal argument the company/club who broke the rules are the old Rangers and not the new version!

Hopefully July 4^th will conclude this whole saga and whatever decision the SPL teams come up with is accepted with good grace by The Rangers and the whole of the Scottish game can move forward.
