Clubs beginning to make positions known on Rangers
Romanov

Hearts are the first club to state publicly how they will vote on the Rangers newco on July 4th while Motherwell pass vote to the Well Society.
Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has issued one of his legendary statements today which when all the rhetoric is stripped away states he won’t be voting a newco Rangers into the SPL.
It does have the feeling of Romanov getting his own back on the “establishment” club. He has had a swipe at their cheating (my word not his), as he put it in his own words;
"Victories were achieved not by sporting merits, but through slander, conspiracies amongst players and their poaching via third parties, unfair pressuring of referees, who in themselves are as valuable to the fabric of football as the football stars themselves.
"All of this brought hollow victories and destroyed football.
"There is a saying about digging a grave for someone: you get it for yourself.
"Without these people football will become cleaner and stronger.
Romanov at least has had the balls to come out and say it and it will be interesting to see if any others are prepared to follow.
Over atFirPark, Motherwell have put out their own statement saying they will poll all adult members of the Well Society to decide which way to go. Given the reaction of Well fans on forums and twitter, this should see them become the second club to say no to a newco!
This means three more are required to ensure Rangers are not allowed into the SPL, with Dundee United andAberdeenunder pressure from their fans to say no, it isn’t looking good for Charles Green’s mob.
