SFL clubs vote Newco Rangers into Div 3

The 30 SFL clubs voted newco Rangers into the third division yesterday, a major step in the history of Scottish Football – for good or bad?
Newco Rangers were voted into SFL 3 yesterday by a majority of 25 to 5 votes, although one of the clubs went as far as not wanting them in the SFL at all!!
It should be stressed this is not a punishment on Rangers, all this is the result of the original club going bust and the new one applying to join the SFL. It should also be stressed this is not relegation either but an administrative process the club had to go through.
It may not be the end of the whole saga as the SPL meet on Monday to decide who club 12 will be. There are rumours going around this could yet be newco Rangers, this would be a major slap in the face for the fans and clubs who have made their opinions clear.
Club 12 has to be Dunfermline orDundee, but there could yet be a twist in the tale of this whole saga.
It also a time for the fans to stand up and be counted, they have pressured their boards into voting Rangers out of the SPL knowing this will have some form of financial impact. They now have to get behind their teams and give as much as they can to help them through this.
I also find it a bit funny hearing Rangers supporters revelling being in Div 3, and hoping other SPL clubs go to the wall. It will be interesting to see how Rangers start the season, do they have a team to put on the park, can they cover their costs in July and for the rest of the season. How many staff will have to be made redundant?
It will be a tough time for Rangers as well as the rest of the sides, but there is no doubt this is an interesting time for Scottish Football….
