What does McCall have to do to win Manager of the Month
McCall

Saint Johnstone’s Steve Lomas has been named SPL manager of the month despite being 7th in the table, while Stuart McCall has lost only one as Motherwell boss this season and has been overlooked again.
There was little to choose between the two teams results in the month of September with Saints taking 10 points and McCall’s taking 7 to be in second place in the table.
McCall was overlooked in August, despite his team being unbeaten in the month and being top of the table, in favour of Derek Adams.
There are a couple of theories to look at, his cup results in both August and September have been poor, but that is not meant to be taken into consideration in the SPL awards.
There is a degree of flavour of the month in the selections, there was a newness to Derek Adams rather than the predictable nature of Motherwell’s performance of being top of the SPL at the end of August.
It does seem strange to me that a manager who has had his side top, or second, in the opening two months of the season hasn’t won a Manager of the Month award.
At least who picks the awards has got one of them right with Ryan Fraser ofAberdeenbeing chosen as the Young player of the month.
