Grady Chooses Gretna Over Saints

The veteran forward, who had scored 5 goals last season, had been linked with a move to Love Street for a few months but Gretna's money has won once more...

St. Mirren boss Gus MacPherson confirmed that Saints were after James Grady, who had been released by SPL side Dundee United, after failing to get in the first team regularly. His former team, Partick Thistle were also in the chase for him but Grady has instead chosen the second division side. He has negotiated a 2 year deal with the Tannadice side. If things go well at Raydale Park, the 34 year old has an option for a second year.

The Scotsman, who came to them as a free agent, is Gretna's first summer signing. Other goings-on in Gretna this summer are the loaning out of 3 youngsters: Gary Cohen to Grimbsy, Marc Eccles to Scarborough and Brain Wake, also to Scarborough...
