Balde opts to stay with Celtic

Premiership side Fulham have failed in a late bid to sign Guinea international, Bobo Balde...

The Celtic central defender held talks with the London club, but they failed to persuade the player to move down south to Craven Cottage.

Balde has a clause in his contact which allows him to move to any club, for free, before the summer transfer window closes, on August the 31st.

The player was also in talks with Marseilles, but the French club ended their interested because they were not prepared to meet his reportedly high wage demands, but Balde claims there was more than the matter of money to think about.

Schalke, Werder Bremen, Birmingham and Newcastle are apparently among the clubs he has turned away so far.

Badle has opted to stay at with the Celtic and claims he is happy there...
