Cardiff duo sign

With £20 million at his disposal less Roy Carroll, Alan Pardew has decided to treat himself to a few new toys and some people to play with them.

After Niall Clark's appointment, the club have now signed Cardiff City's head physio Steve Allen and his assistant Paul Hunter.

Clark yesterday spoke of his desire to work with West Ham because of the improved resources that would be on offer. This is to include pro zone and nine strategic cameras and it is likely that the Cardiff pair have been offered improved contracts to what they were on at Ninian Park.

So many fans will be wondering whether these backroom signings are being paid for within the £20 million budget that Brown has trumpeted in the media just recently.

Pardew continues to be linked with several players but at the moment it is the backroom team that is being strengthened for life in premiership.
