January - New Faces

A NEW face will arrive at the SH Stadium before Christmas, if Keith Curle is to get his way.
And furthermore, should the luck that has been in rich source in City’s league campaign, be paralleled in the transfer market, there will be a number of new faces making their way to Chester in January.
10 summer signings is aplenty. But given the number of players released last summer by Curle, it is understandable new faces are required to boost the depth in the Chester squad.
Chester sorely missed the instrumental midfielder Stewart Drummond over the period of his 3-game-suspension, and there are questions arriving of Chris McKenzie’s overall ability in goal.
In defence too, Dave Artell and Luke Dimech have contributed to Chester’s poor goal difference, and yet even Phil Bolland is struggling to force either out of the team on a regular basis.
And so it is likely Keith Curle will look to address these positions between now and the close of the transfer window at the end of January.
