Liverpool Manager Gerrard Houllier says he will not risk his health as his Liverpool charges go out to end there 12 year wait for the Premiership crown.
Houllier had heart surgery last seasonand says that he has learned alot from that experience.
The Reds Boss said he made a "major sacrifice" in missing the World Cup finals to rest so he had time to re charge his batteries and will lead Liverpool out for Sunday's Communtiy Shield final against The Gunners at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff which is sponsored by McDonalds.
He said: "I've come to realise that the most important person in life is yourself. I must not take any chances with my health.
"It was a major sacrifice missing a tournament like that but it had to be done. I went away on holiday instead and I'm benefiting from it now. I feel strong and fit as though my batteries have been recharged.
"I know now that I must continue in the same vein. I'll be more careful this season and make sure I take a break whenever the opportunity arises."
