Liverpool Have Been Defeated 1-0 Against Chester

Senagal International Salif Diao made his debut for Liverpool as The Reds went down 1-0 to non-league side Chester City. The goal was scored by Chris Blackburn eight minutes from time.

As well as Salif Diao, Bruno Cheyrou also started the game. Salif Diao was brought off after a good performance in the 60th minute.

Ex Liverpool player Steve Harkness played for Chester , who celebrated 10 years at the Deva Stadium.

The Liverpool team was a blend of experience and youth. Included were players who did not start against Arsenal in the Community Shield and young reserve players.
