Houllier Happy With Staff

Liverpool Manager Gerard Houllier says no new faces will be appearing at Anfield when the Transfer window re-opens on Wednesday.

Reds Boss says he is very confident the current squad he has at Anfield is good enough and has trust in his staff.

"I have no intention of signing anyone because I trust my staff and I trust my players, " he said.

"We have got the squad to achieve (success) and we showed that in the second half against Arsenal.

"I am happy with the squad. I like to work with them, and we have been going through a period of progress practically every year.

"Unless someone comes up to me and says I want to leave the door will not open.

"Nobody has knocked on my door so far. Not many want to leave Liverpool because it is a good club.

"We knew at some stage where there would be a difficult period. But I am very pleased with the players, with their attitude and the way they have responded to that.

"My main pride is that when you go through a difficult period you can count your men, and some of them have been outstanding."
