Club confirms Deal for El Hadji Diouf

Liverpool today announced the signing of Senegal International El Hadji Diouf on a 5 year deal. The Senegal Star who helped his country to a shock 1-0 victory over France in the Opening World Cup match will join his team mates in July for pre-season training.

Club Confirm Signing
Liverpool Officials today confirmed the signing of Senegal International El Hadji Diouf for a fee believed to be around £10 million.
"We can confirm African Footballer of the Year El Hadji Diouf has signed a five-year deal with Liverpool - which is wonderful news for everyone at the club," Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton told the club's website.
"The Senegal striker will join up with his new team-mates when the squad report back for pre-season training in July."
Diouf, nicknamed The Serial Killer by the Senegalese press because of his goalscoaring touch, said: "I'm delighted to be joining Liverpool. Liverpool are a club that expects to be one of the best in Europe."
