Czech International To Extend Contract

Czech International star Patrick Berger will sign a new deal with Liverpool before the start of the next campaign.

Berger 's current deal runs out at the end of next season and is keen to thrash out a new deal.

Rumours have been flying round over the last few weeks that the Liverpool star signed from Borussia Dortmund could be on his way out of Anfield and further speculation mounted when Frenchman Bruno Cheyrou Joined the Anfield club.

Berger squashed any rumours saying "I know there has been a lot of speculation in both England and the Czech Republic about me leaving Liverpool.

"But I have been offered an extension on my contract. I'm still studying it, but I think we can reach agreement on it and I can sign a new contract before the start of the Premiership."
