Gerrard and Murphy to Return For Pre-Season

Liverpool Duo Steve Gerrard and Danny Murphy will both report for pre-season training on July 10 it has been announced.

The England stars who missed the World Cup due to Foot and Groin injuries.

Murphy told the club's official website: "The crutches are finished with and I've started walking properly again this week.

"Now I'm starting to do some fitness work. I hope to be starting pre-season with the others on July 10.

"The worst-case scenario would be to wait another week but I don't think that will be necessary. The good thing, from a Liverpool point of view, is the knock won't set me back too much.

"Stevie is flying. He's running already now. Like me, he will be fine for the start of pre-season."

Murphy also said that Jamie Carragher could be back soon after undergoing knee surgery.
