Finish International Sami Hyypia is set to sign a new deal with Liverpool that will keep the outstanding defender at Anfield until 2006.

According to the official site Hyypia will sign a new 4 year deal replacing his current deal that has 2 years left.

Hyypia has been outstanding since his arrival from dtuch club Willem II in 1999 and is a firm favourite with the Anfield faithful , the big Finn was made captain in May after Jamie Redknapp left for Tottenham Hotspur.
