Vignal Wants Regular First Team Place

Left Back Gregory Vignal says he wants to play at least 25 games this season for the Anfield Club.

Vignal impressed Reds Boss Gerard Houllier last season with his performances and Vignal who was making the left back position his own broke his foot in October last year.

The Frenchman has made a full recovery and wants to now force his way back into Manager Gerard Houllier first team plans for the coming season.

He told the club's website: "I'm 21 now and so I need to be playing regular first-team football.

"I want to play in 25 games this season - and then more if possible. I don't really want to be playing five or 10 games for the first team and another 20 in the reserves.

"I missed a lot of last season and so I am desperate just to play regularly again and show what I can do."
