Babbel Impressed With French Pair

Liverpool Defender Markus Babbel was very impressed with Florent-Sinama Pongolle and Anthony Le Tallec and cannot wait for the two's arrvials at Anfield Next Season.

The Youngsters who currently play there football at LeHarve will arrive on Merseyside next summer after Gerard Houllier purchased them on a free more than a year ago from Le Harve.

Le Tallec and Pongolle both impressed there future team-mates in Le Harve's friendly with Liverpool that ended 1-0 to The Pool.

Babbel says they were both very difficult to play against.

He told Liverpool's website: "Both the young forwards possess massive talent.

"Pongolle in particular is a very good player. He is quick and very skilful and proved to be a bit of a handful.

"All the boys were impressed with them both. For such a young age they have bags of ability."
