Feyenoord Star Says Move's Need To Be Made Soon

Feyenoord's Australian International Brett Emerton says he cannot see a move to the Premiership happening if no club comes in for him within the next week.

Emerton who looks set to play in the Champions League Qualifier for Feyenoord would not be able to play for any other club in the competition for the coming season.

Emerton who has been linked several times with a move to Anfield and also linked with Leeds aswell says he will look "less attractive" to teams if he plays in his club Champions League Qualifier on August 13th.

"If I play in that match, I can not play in Europe for any other team," Emerton told Feyenoord's website.

"That means I will be less attractive for other teams. It is something I have to consider.

"I am only 23, there is plenty of time for a transfer. This doesn't mean that when a club comes along I will not think about it.

"I will only leave Feyenoord for a great club, though, one I think suits me. I won't jump the first wagon that comes along. This week - I think - will bring more certainty."

He added: "The speculation about me moving to England has been around for more than six months now.''
