Aston Villa striker Milan Baros is a major doubt for the match against table-topping Chelsea on Saturday. The Czech international sustained a slight Achilles tendon injury against Wycombe on Tuesday evening and may not recover in time for the visit to Stamford Bridge.

Villa boss David O'Leary revealed, "He's struggling with a kick on his Achilles tendon and I won't know about him until tomorrow. That could muck my plans up big style.

"I want to play two strikers against Chelsea and have a go, but I won't know about that until tomorrow.

"He had the problem yesterday and he's still struggling this morning, so he won't be able to train. But these things can clear up and we're hoping he'll be OK for Chelsea."

Milan Baros is not Aston Villa's only striker who is struggling with an injury problem. Speaking about Kevin Phillips, O'Leary said, "Kevin Phillips is definately out and, having spoken to him this morning, he could even be out of the Middlesbrough game. He's had a scan and that showed a slight calf muscle pull."
