Experienced Italian defender Lorenzo Stovini is being linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers after his contract with Lecce expired.
The 29-year old former Roma stopper has attracted a lot of interest in his homeland but reports in Italy are suggesting that Trotters boss Sam Allardyce has been in contact with the players agent regarding a move to the Premiership with Bolton.
Allardyce is on the lookout for a number of new faces to bolster his thin squad and he is hoping to have the majority of new signings in place by the time the Wanderers begin their Premiership programme on 19th August.
One man who Bolton will not be pursuing this summer is Red Star Belgrade's giant forward Nikola Zigic. The Serbian World Cup star was on Allardyce's list of possibles but the Bolton manager has since withdrawn his interest having seen the 6ft 8" front man in action against Cork City.
