Stovini Agent Claims Bolton Deal In Pipeline

Free agent Lorenzo Stovini will make the move to Bolton Wanderers within the near future according to his agent Giocondo Marterelli.

The centre half is on the lookout for a new club after his contract with Lecce expired and the Wanderers have recently been touted as possible suitors for his signature.

Stovini will come to England on Tuesday evening and train with the Trotters so that they can see what sort of condition he is in but Marterelli foresees no problems in the potential deal.

It will also enable the former Roma player to see what sort of move he will be making and if concluded, the 29-year old will be a direct replacement for Birmingham City bound Radhi Jaidi.

"Lorenzo Stovini will be in England probably on Tuesday evening, It's not a trial. There is already an agreement with the club, for three years. He will undergo medical checks." Marterelli told Sky Sports

"The guy wants to understand what type of environment there is and what type of impact he will have, and the club want to see him in action too. It's a reciprocal thing. I think about three days will be enough. They want to see if he's in good condition, Stovini wants to see what the environment is like."

Marterelli also confirmed that Bolton are hoping to take his client on their pre-season tour of Spain next week. The tour will feature back to back friendlies against Sevilla and Recreativo Huelva.

"I decided to not go with him. I know Bolton are hoping to take him to Valencia for their Spanish tour."
