Sevilla Preview

Bolton end their participaction in the Colombino trophy this evening as they face UEFA Cup winners Sevilla in a third place play off match.

The Spanish side lost their opening match of the tournament to Sporting Lisbon yesterday evening in what was described as an ill-tempered affair, so Wanderers will be hoping to pile on the misery against a side whom they drew 1-1 with in the UEFA Cup Group stages some nine months ago.

A lengthy injury list still concerns Trotters boss Sam Allardyce and this does not seem to be easing as it was confirmed yesterday that Kevin Davies, Joey O'Brien and Henrik Pedersen could all miss the Premiership opener against Tottenham Hotspur in just under two weeks from now.

Academy prospects Johann Smith, Jarostaw Fojut, Blazej Augustyn and Chris Basham played some part in the Wanderers previous game of this tournament which ended in defeat against Recreativo Huelva on Tuesday.

Tonights opponents Sevilla are set to include Adriano Correia in their team for the match against Bolton. It was his goal that rescued a point for the Spaniards at the Reebok Stadium back in December.

Ex-Spurs striker Freddie Kanoute and Enzo Maresca, once of West Bromwich Albion, will also play some part.
