Frenchman Martin Djetou is hoping to make it third time lucky in English football after Championship side Southampton offered him a trial.

The Saints are currently on the lookout for a new defender after the experienced Claus Lundekvam suffered an ankle injury in the recent defeat against Derby County and former Fulham and Bolton player Djetou could fit the bill.

Last season the 31-year old made just a handful of appearances for the Wanderers after signing as a free agent midway through the campaign. He later transferred to French club Nice in the January transfer window when it became apparent that he would not feature much in the future plans of Bolton manager Sam Allardyce.

Also on the move is former Wanderers reserve team full back Rhys Powell. The 19-year old played for Wycombe Wanderers in their reserve team defeat against Southampton earlier this evening.
