Tal Hoping For More Time

Bolton midfielder Idan Tal is hoping to play his way into the managers thinking on a more regular basis after an impressive cameo appearance against Watford on Saturday.

The 30-year old played out the closing moments of the match against the Hornets at the Reebok Stadium over the weekend and it was his fine run and persistance which lead to referee Mark Clattenburg awarding the Wanderers their match winning penalty which was converted by Gary Speed.

Tal arrived back in English football from Maccabi Haifa over the summer after previously playing a bit part role for Everton four years ago. However he realises that it might take time to break into the Bolton team and the final decision regarding the amount of playing time he gets lies firmly with Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce.

"The manager knows me and has explained what he wants me to do," said Tal to the official website.

"It's not every game that you get the chance to do things in 20 minutes, you probably need more minutes, but hopefully? I am patient!. It's what the manager decides, but hopefully I will play more minutes."

"I think I did good things on the pitch, not only winning the penalty but before that, the pass for Vaz? it should have been a goal because I wasn't offside. We didn't play the best game but sometimes it is enough just to win these kinds of games."
