Sam Waits On BBC Documentary

Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has voiced his concern about a television programme which is to be screened on BBC1 tommorow evening.

Long standing political programme Panorama will investigate the role of agents in modern day football after Luton Town boss Mike Newell claimed that bungs and side payments where a regular occurance in todays game.

Allardyce, who's son Craig recently quit his role as a football agent, says that his family will await the outcome of the programme which will be screened at a prime time slot of 9pm.

"We are concerned but at the moment, because I am linked with it, from a legal point of view, I cannot say any more than that. I will take a view after the programme has come out because I do not know what is in it." said the Wanderers boss

The Allardyce family came under scrutiny earlier this year as speculation claimed that there was some wrong doing in the transfer which brought Israeli midfielder Idan Tal from Maccabi Haifa to Bolton.

Ex-Everton midfielder Tal was a client of Craig Allardyce and one daily tabloid tried to insinuate that there had been corners cut in the negotiation process. However, Allardyce jnr. was able to back up that particular transfer and others he had overseen with the relevant documents.

Agent Charles Collymore, who represented ex-Bolton midfielder Khalilou Fadiga, is another man beleived to be under investigation by the programme.
