Reserves In Lancashire Cup Action Tonight

The reserves are in action tonight as they take on local rivals Manchester United in the first phase of the Lancashire Senior Cup.

It will be the first of three consecutive meetings against the Red Devils over the next few weeks with Wanderers also due to face their near neighbours in the FA Premier Reserve league and Manchester Senior Cup early next month.

Bolton have yet to prove victorious at this level so far this season with the games against Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers both ending in defeat but reserve boss Jimmy Phillips is hopeful of pulling off a shock at the County Ground this evening.

Last season United comfortably defeated the Wanderers on two seperate occasions with the experienced Ivan Campo being red carded for a head butt the last time these two teams met in the middle of December.
