Bolton skipper Kevin Nolan has been suspended for three matches following his late sending off against Blackburn Rovers yesterday afternoon.

The 24-year old midfielder was given a straight red card by referee Mike Dean in the final minute of the victory at Ewood Park and will now miss the forthcoming games against Charlton Athletic, Manchester United and Wigan Athletic.

It is the first time in his six year career that Nolan has been given a red card which Dean later revealed was for using persistant foul and abusive language towards a match official.
