Mendy Linked With Reebok Return?

The Sunday People newspaper is claiming that the Wanderers will launch a £3.5 million swoop for their former loan player Bernard Mendy.

French international Mendy spent the 2002-2003 season with the Trotters and impressed many with his performances as an attacking right wing back but no permanent deal was concluded at the end of the year long stint as the player decided that he wanted to stay at Paris Saint Germain and fight for his place.

Now it seems as if the 24-year old wants a return to English football in January and both Bolton and Middlesbrough are said to be interested in luring the player away from the Parc des Princes.

Manchester City where also mentioned as possible suitors for Mendy but it remains to be seen whether or not Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce brings the highly rated star back to the Reebok Stadium.

Last year Allardyce strongly denied links to Mendy but the full back areas are a source for concern at the moment.
