Sam Continues Transfer Search

Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he will work right up until the transfer deadline in his attemps to bring new players to Bolton.

Despite missing out to Blackburn in the race for the signature of David Dunn, Allardyce will keep on searching for the right kind of player to add to the Bolton squad but he admits any new face may come from foreign shores.

"David Dunn would have been our only signing of this window.Now that opportunity has gone, I will resurrect our interest in other potential signings. We have a little bit of time to sort something else, but it is unlikely it will come from this country. We will have to look to Europe and beyond."

Allardyce stresses that wages and transfer fees inflate because the market has become so competitive in recent years but as usual the Wanderers cheif will not be detered as he looks to guide the club to a second season in European football.

"It is more difficult than ever as every club is looking at the same players. And if there is a demand it inflates transfer fees and inflates wages as we have already seen in this window. If we have to, we will go right to January 31 to find the right quality that will take us forward and continue to build on our excellent season."
