Davies Commits To Bolton

Evergreen striker Kevin Davies has finally put pen to paper on a new contract which will keep him at Bolton Wanderers until 2010..

The 29-year old has been in lengthy discussions to extend his stay at the Reebok Stadium for the past couple of months and now a satisfactory conclusion has been reached.

Davies joined Bolton from Southampton under the Bosman rule in the summer of 2003 and has since become one of the mainstays of the Trotters team which has achieved three top ten finishes in as many seasons.

Speaking to the clubs official site earlier in the week, both the player and his manager Sam Allardyce where absolutely delighted to see that the situation has been resolved.

"I'm delighted that everything is sorted now. The future is very promising for this football club and I'm happy that I can be a part of it." said Davies

Allardyce too was pleased to see a key member of the squad stay within the Bolton ranks

"Kevin is crucial to the ongoing success we have at this football club and I'm thrilled that his committed his future to us."
