Bolton Pull Plug On Diawara Deal

Bolton Wanderers have decided not to further their interest in St Etienne defender Fousenni Diawara following the arrival of Slovakian defender Lubomir Michalik.

Reports have been rife all week that the 26-year old Mali international Diawara would be on his way to the Reebok Stadium but Wanderers have now confirmed that the player has returned to France.

The full back spent time training with the Wanderers this week having previously come to the club on trial back in the 2003-2004 season.
