Davo Hopes There Is More To Come

Bolton striker Kevin Davies is hoping that the next three and a half years will be just as good as the three and a half years that have just passed.

The 29-year old forward put pen to paper on a new contract with the Wanderers last weekend after over a month of lengthy negotiations, and he says that he never had any intentions of leaving the Reebok Stadium behind.

Signed from Southampton nearly four summers ago, fans favourite Davies has rebuilt his career after a couple of years in the wilderness at some of his previous clubs. He explained the hold up in signing a new deal was all down to some minor factors which have since been ironed out.

"The Club has given me everything I've needed over the past three or fours years, so there was no reason why I wanted to play for anybody else. It was just a case of getting a few things right, but it's all settled now and I'm looking forward to the next three-and-a-half years." said Davo earlier this week

Davies is hopeful of experiencing more high points with the Trotters having already enjoyed success in the league, in europe and in the domestic cup competitions during his time with the club.

"We've finished in the top eight every year I've been here, we've got to the Carling Cup final and I've had experience of Europe. There've been some great times and I hope there's more to come."
