Smith Joins Cumbrians

Wanderers reserve striker Johann Smith has joined League One outfit Carlisle United on loan until the end of the current season.

The 19-year old American has made three appearances for the Bolton first team this term, with the last coming in the third round FA Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers nearly a month ago.

His move to Brunton Park sees him link up with former Wanderers coach Neil McDonald, now the Carlisle manager, and one time Bolton squad players Danny Livesey and Jeff Smith.

Pending football league approval the pacy striker could make his debut for the Cumbrians in tonight's game against promotion chasers Nottingham Forest.
