Recent signings Lubomir Michalik, Zoltan Harsanyi and Cesar Martin where all part of the Bolton reserve side which defeated Stockport County 1-0 yesterday.

The trio played in the behind closed doors game which was settled by a Gianluca Havern own goal in the 57th minute to push Bolton further in the Manchester Senior Cup.

A waterlogged pitch at Stockport's Edgeley Park ground had forced the two sides to look for an alternative venue and this late change was eventually to work in Bolton's favour.

Cesar and Michalik both completed the full game for the Wanderers, but Harsanyi was replaced by Australian midfielder Scott Jamieson shortly after the first goal had been scored.

Wanderers keeper Chris Howarth, once on loan at Stockport, kept the visitors in the game when producing a smart save from Michael Malcolm as the game reached its conclusion.

Bolton will now face Bury in the next stage of the competition on 2nd May but as yet the venue for the game will need to be confirmed as Radcliffe Borough's stadium at Stainton Park is being used.
