Reserves Travel To North East

Reserve team coach Jimmy Phillips has named a strong squad as his side travel up to Kingston Park to take on Newcastle United tonight.

Recent signings Zoltan Harsanyi, Lubomir Michalik, David Thompson and Cesar Martin join the likes of Ian Walker, Andranik Teimourian, Idan Tal and Ricardo Vaz-Te in the line up which faces the Toon Army.

Youngster Chris Basham is named amongst the substitutes against the side who released him as a schoolboy and recently converted full back James Sinclair appears against his hometown club.

Newcastle include Spanish forward Albert Luque in their line up for what is an otherwise young and inexperienced starting eleven. However, James Troisi, Matty Pattison, Alan O'Brien and Andrew Carroll have all been on first team duty with the Magpies this season.

Trialist striker Lee Kerr also starts for Newcastle after impressing with local non-league side Whitley Bay.
