Goals from Zoltan Harsanyi and Kevin Wolze gave Bolton Wanderers reserves a deserved 2-0 victory over league leaders Middlesbrough last night.

The young Wanderers team put a recent setback behind them to defy the odds and get the three points against a Boro side which included some experienced faces, namely the likes of former Derby player Malcolm Christie and German international Robert Huth.

Bolton took the lead on 26 minutes as the on loan Slovakian teenager Harsanyi converted a cross from Wolze to net his first goal for the club since arriving from FC Senec back in January.

One became two in a matter of minutes as a well worked free kick involving James Sinclair and Chris Basham was netted by Wolze who only recently celebrated his 17th birthday.

Wolze perhaps had a little bit of good fortune in the build up to the goal as Boro keeper Ross Turnbull spilled the initial shot, but that said Wanderers where looking good for their lead.

Boro tried to force a mini second half revival with Jonathan Franks going close with a free kick, but Bolton stood firm and rode any pressure which was forthcoming from the Teeside club.
