Bolton Eye Up Kewell Swoop?

The Wanderers are rumoured to be one of three English clubs ready to offer a Premiership lifeline to Liverpool's injury prone midfielder Harry Kewell next season.

The Australian international is said to be on his way out of Anfield after three seasons of injury problems and Bolton, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are said to be watching developments.

Kewell moved to Liverpool from Leeds United in a highly contraversial transfer in 2003 when it was claimed that the Merseysiders had tapped the player up some six months before the actual transfer to Anfield took place.

Bolton have as yet to make any comment on the reports but their track record in getting the best out of fallen stars is second to none as the likes of Kevin Davies, Youri Djorkaeff, Fernando Hierro and Nicolas Anelka have all benefitted from playing for Sam Allardyce's European hopefuls.
