Brown Wants Vaz-Te Stay

Hull City manager Phil Brown has expressed his desire to keep on loan Bolton forward Ricardo Vaz-Te until the end of the season...

Vaz-Te joined the Tigers in a surprise move earlier this month which will initially last until mid-April but Brown is hopeful of calling in a favour with his former Wanderers sidekick Sam Allardyce.

Brown feels any hopes of keeping the 20-year old at the KC Stadium for longer rest on the current injury situation at Bolton.

"I've already made enquiries and Sam has his injury concerns like any manager at this stage of the season and he'll assess that nearer to the time, Maybe after the Easter period where we've got a few games, we'll discuss it properly and hopefully keep Ricardo here for another month. I'm in regular contact with Sam and we speak three or four times a week." said Brown

"It's a situation that's out of our hands at the moment. At the end of the deal when they might need him back, then there's nothing we can do."

Portuguese striker Vaz-Te has made three substitute appearances for Hull which have lead to two vital Championship victories against Preston North End and relegation rivals Luton Town.
