Reserves Take On The Blades

Bolton Wanderers reserves hope to emulate the achievements of the first team when they take on Sheffield United at Saltergate tonight.

A strong team is named for the trip across the Pennines to Chesterfield FC's ground with the likes of Ali Al-Habsi, Henrik Pedersen, Cesar Martin, David Thompson and Jaroslaw Fojut all set to feature.

If Bolton win then they put themselves back in the title race alongside the two Manchester clubs, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough but a Sheffield win would see them overtake the Wanderers by a point.

Three days ago a Kevin Davies goal helped the Bolton first team defeat the Blades at the Reebok Stadium and now the club want to make it a double whammy by defeating the Yorkshire club's second eleven.

Ironically Blades duo Matthew Kilgallon and Luton Shelton played a part in that game and they line up against the Wanderers again this evening. Experienced goalkeeper Ian Bennett also lines up for Sheffield as does Robert Kozluk and one time Manchester City man David Sommeil.
