One Midfielder In, One Out?

Greek midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos could be about to end his four year stay with Bolton Wanderers this summer according to a report in the Daily Mail newspaper this morning.

The 32-year old joined the Trotters from Olympiakos in the summer of 2003 and was leading the Wanderers goal scoring charts in the 2005-2006 campaign with 13 strikes in all competitions.

Last season Giannakopoulos lost his place in the Bolton team and spent more time on the substitutes bench than he did in a starting role leading to speculation about his long term future at the club.

Liverpool and Manchester City have previously shown a strong interest in signing the player and the latter could be involved once again if Sammy Lee sanctions his exit from the Reebok Stadium.

One player who could be incoming at the Reebok is Paris Saint Germain midfielder David Hellebuyck.

The 28-year old has only been in the French capital for a year following spells with Lyon, Guingamp, Lausanne and St Etienne and he is set to snub a move to Nice in favour of a move to the Premiership where Bolton and City are said to be lying in wait.

Bolton manager Lee is understandably remaining coy on who he is targeting but what remains clear is that he is in the market for a player who can operate on the wing.
