Swedish international winger Christian Wilhelmsson is strongly being tipped to move to the English Premiership this summer and Bolton Wanderers are beleived to be one of the clubs who are vying for his signature.
The 27-year old is looking to move on after his club side FC Nantes where relegated from the French Ligue 1 last season and his preferred destination is England where many of his countrymen have plied their trade in recent years.
Manchester City, now managed by fellow Swede Sven Goran Eriksson, where immediately linked to Wilhelmsson but there has also been other clubs mentioned such as Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur and Scottish giants Celtic.
Italian club Roma may also be interested in the former Anderlecht midfielder after he spent a large proportion of the 2006-07 campaign playing on loan with them at the Stadio Olimpico.
Bolton manager Sammy Lee is in the market for a winger this summer after targeting Sheffield United veteran Keith Gillespie and Swiss international David Degen amongst others.
Gillespie has decided to stay and help the Blades back into the Premiership whilst Degen spent some time training with the Wanderers a fortnight ago.
