Bolton Take On Lyon In Peace Cup Finale

Reigning French champions Olympique Lyonnaise will be Bolton Wanderers opponents in the final of the Peace Cup on Saturday after winning the Group B section of the competition early today.

Alain Perrin's side beat off strong competition from English outfit Reading and River Plate of Argentina to set up the weekend showpiece against the Wanderers at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Bolton had already booked their place in the final on Tuesday after defeating Spanish mid-table side Racing Santander thanks to two Nicolas Anelka goals.

Lyon have a strong European tradition and are regular competitors in the Champions League. Some familiar names are in their squad too with ex-Liverpool duo Milan Baros and Alou Diarra being first team regulars as is one time Arsenal man Sylvain Wiltord.

Jeremy Toulalan, Sidney Govou, Francois Clerc, Sebastien Squillarci, and Gregory Coupet join Diarra in the French national team.

Brazilian striker Fred (pictured) is also one of Lyon's most competant performers.
