Braaten Makes Reebok Move?

The Wanderers have agreed a cut price deal to sign Norwegian international winger Daniel Braaten according to the official website of his club and current Tippeligaen holders Rosenberg.

The 25-year old is out of contract in December and the Norwegians claim that Bolton have secured Braaten for a fee of around £425,000 after upping their original offer from £250,000.

Champions League participants Rosenberg say that they concluded the transfer now so not to cup tie Braaten for Bolton's UEFA Cup exploits later on in the season.

"For Bolton it was important to end the deal before the Champions League qualifyer against Astana tomorrow, as they want to use Braaten in the UEFA Cup later on." said the Rosenberg statement.

Braaten, who has been capped 15 times by his country, says that he will miss being a part of the Rosenberg team after spending over three years at the Lerkendal Stadion.

"This is football. Players come and go. But I will really miss all the kindness in the RBK family." he said

However he is looking forward to playing at the Reebok Stadium and in the Premiership despite not knowing too much about the town.

"I guess I should put the 'on' button on more, I don't know much about the place, but I do know some of the players and a little bit about the club. It seems exciting. Definitely a step up."

Bolton have yet to confirm the transfer but if all goes well Braaten could be in contention to make the Premiership opener against Newcastle United on 11th August.
