Newcastle's Faye Move Back On?

Abdoulaye Faye's proposed move to Newcastle United could be back on after Wanderers manager Sammy Lee stated that he expects something to happen before the closure of this Friday's transfer deadline.

The Senegal defender come midfielder has been left out of the Bolton side since their opening day defeat against the Magpies amid reports that he is about to link up with his old manager Sam Allardyce on Tyneside.

A £2 million move looked likely early last week but the Wanderers where given hope when Faye announced that he would be ready to play in the last Trotters game against Reading.

However he was once again left out against the Royals and now a move to the North East seems set to be completed sooner rather than later.

He's a terrific character, but I couldn't put him in because his focus wasn't right. There's been an awful lot gone on." said Lee to the Bolton News when questioned about the 29-year old

"I just want the situation resolved and so does he. Hopefully that will be done this week - in fact it has to be resolved this week" he added

Faye joined Bolton from Lens two years ago following an initial loan spell and he impressed many with his no nonesense approach which helped the Wanderers consolidate their place in the top ten of the Premiership.
