Nolan Confident Of Bolton Upturn

Kevin Nolan has reassured the Bolton Wanderers supporters that the club have what it takes to get out of their current situation despite going down to their fourth defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon.

A goal in the last minute from new England squad member Joleon Lescott gave Everton a 2-1 win to keep the Wanderers in the bottom three of the Premiership but Nolan is confident the Trotters have what it takes to turn things around.

"I know we are strong enough to withstand what has gone on over the last few weeks," he told the official Bolton website

"I know that there's no group of lads I would rather be with in that dressing room to get us out of the position we are in. We've just got to make sure that we stick together, in-house.

Nolan says that the club must ignore distractions elsewhere and concentrate on moving up the league table in the weeks that lie ahead, starting at Birmingham City on Saturday week.

"We can't let outside influences affect us because, once that starts happening, there's only one way and that's down."

Much has been made of the managerial changes at Bolton as well as the futures of many of the clubs players but now the transfer window is closed the club can concentrate on the job in hand.
