Al-Habsi Sent Off Late On

Bolton Wanderers championship winning reserve side endured an evening to forget in the North East earlier on this evening as they were defeated by a 3-0 scoreline against Newcastle United at St James Park.
All the Magpies goals came in the second half with James Troisi, Jonny Godsmark and Darren Lough doing the damage to a Wanderers side which hadn't been beaten since late February.
Winger Leslie Thompson came closest for Bolton in the first half but his chip from James Sinclair's pass was watched over the crossbar by Newcastle keeper Mark Cook.
At the other end of the field, Australian goalscorer Troisi hit the woodwork when his shot from distance rattled the outside of the post.
Slovakian international Lubomir Michalik was spared a sending off by the match referee who issued him with a caution when hauling back Godsmark with the striker clean through on goal.
Joey O'Brien completed the full game for Bolton and he nearly got in the scoresheet when his shot from all of 25-yards hit the side netting.
Troisi broke the deadlock for Newcastle just three minutes after the break when tapping home a low Godsmark cross which had the Trotters defence fooled.
Lough made it two with just over twenty minutes remaining when firing in a drive from the edge of the area and Godsmark completed the rout in the last minute when firing a penalty past Wanderers substitute keeper Przemyslaw Kazimierczak.
Kazimierczak was on as a replacement for Thompson after Al-Habsi had been sent off for bringing down Godsmark in full flight in an incident which earned the penalty.
